Oh Be Careful Little Hands What You Do, Oh Be Careful

My Utmost For His Highest

‘When Paul received his sight, he also received spiritual insight into the Person of Jesus Christ. His entire life and preaching from that point on were totally consumed with nothing but Jesus Christ— “For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified” (1 Corinthians 2:2). Paul never again allowed anything to attract and hold the attention of his mind and soul except the face of Jesus Christ.’ CHAMBERS

When Paul was converted, there was a radical change in his life .. the thing he hated most, he loved … the things he loved the most, he hated.  There is always a change in the life of a person that is born again.  Old things are passed away and all things become new.  One of the indicators that I have noticed in the new convert’s life is a passion for the Word.  They just can’t seem to get enough of the Word of God.  Oh, if it would always be that way.  Paul spent a good bit of time writing the new churches to encourage the people to not let sin and doubt enter their lives which will choke out the Word and quench the Spirit of God.  We must be careful … lest we find ourselves in the same place … our hunger and passion for Jesus is choked out by the affairs of this world and the sin that so easily besets us.  The only way you will be successful in your walk of faith is by doing those things that strengthen your spiritual nature … praying, reading the word, and fellowshipping with other believers.  Don’t deceive yourself and think that you can be friends with the world … that it’s OK if you return to those things that you put behind you when you were born again.

Hebrews 12:1-2 “Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,  looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
