Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall
bring it to pass. —Psalm 37:5
“In spiritual issues it is customary for us to put God
first, but we tend to think that it is inappropriate and unnecessary to put Him
first in the practical, everyday issues of our lives. If we have the idea that
we have to put on our “spiritual face” before we can come near to God, then we
will never come near to Him. We must come as we are.” CHAMBERS
God is the God of the everyday. Be careful that you have not relegated God to
only the “God things” in your life.
Everything else, you can handle. Right!
How is that working out for you? Our relationship with God is the context in
which we live and breathe. Acts 17:28 “For
in Him we live and move and have our being.’ […], ‘We are his offspring.’” As a
Christian, there is no room for the flesh to dictate what we will do and how we
will respond to life. Well, at least
that is God’s intent. It’s up to us to
live it out .. when you are struggling with life … when you are sinking beneath
its waves … look up! Remember whose you
are and what He has done for you. Draw
near to God and He will draw near to you. Stop trying to live this life in your
own wisdom and strength, denying the presence of the Holy Spirit. Think about
it. ELGIN
“You are my strength when I am weak. You are the treasure that I seek, you are my
all in all. Seeking you like a precious
jewel, Lord to give up I’d be a fool.
You are my all in all.”
