Learning To Live With The Effects Of The Fall

“There are times in your spiritual life when there is confusion, and the way out of it is not simply to say that you should not be confused. It is not a matter of right and wrong, but a matter of God taking you through a way that you temporarily do not understand. And it is only by going through the spiritual confusion that you will come to the understanding of what God wants for you. [There are times] You will think that He is an unkind friend, but remember— He is not. The time will come when everything will be explained. There seems to be a cloud on the friendship of the heart, and often even love itself has to wait in pain and tears for the blessing of fuller fellowship and oneness. When God appears to be completely shrouded, will you hang on with confidence in Him? [There are times] when your Father will appear as if He were an unnatural father— as if He were callous and indifferent— but remember, He is not […] hang on to the fact that He will ultimately give you clear understanding and will fully justify Himself in everything that He has allowed into your life. […] Stand firm in faith, believing that what Jesus said is true, although in the meantime you do not understand what God is doing.” CHAMBERS

Does God cause pain and suffering? No, I don’t believe He does.  That was brought on by the sin of Adam in the Garden, but He does allow it. He is the Sovereign God .. He can do anything … There is an eternal plan, that we are not privy to. We know the main story live, but not the details.  Everything that happens is woven into that eternal story.  Romans 8:28 says God causes all things to work together for good.  But when you are in the midst of trouble, it may not seem like it.  You are looking for the good and perhaps asking the question “Why me?”  None of us are spared from the effects of the Fall. But all of us, Christians that is, have hope in Christ and strength to endure by faith.

Why did God choose to create us the way He did?  Ever wondered that? I have.  When He could have done whatever He wanted.  There is something about “free will”,  about being created in His image and likeness that was desirable to Him.  Something about the process of choosing obedience that creates in us a characteristic that is more pleasing to Him than if He had created us with only the possibility of obedience.  To some, they bristle at the thought that God could and would allow the events in their live to happen.  Our mortal minds do not have the capacity to comprehend deep spiritual truths.  This life requires faith to be persevere.  We won’t understand everything that happens, but we can rest in knowing that He does.  ELGIN

“I've Never Been Out Of His Care”  DALLAS HOLM

“The eyes of God are upon me, He sees everything I do. The arms of God are around me, They keep me safe and secure.

This changing world alarms me, With war, with sin, with strife. But my loving Father charms me, With joy, with peace, and with life.

And He knows where I am, Every hour of every day, He knows each thought I think, He knows each word that I might say.

And although there've been times’ I've been out of His will, I've never been out of His care.”
