“…so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry
which I received from the Lord Jesus…” —Acts 20:24
“Joy comes from seeing the complete fulfillment of the
specific purpose for which I was created and born again, not from successfully
doing something of my own choosing. The joy our Lord experienced came from
doing what the Father sent Him to do. And He says to us, “As the Father has
sent Me, I also send you” (John 20:21). [..] you must be faithful to it— to
consider your life valuable only for the purpose of fulfilling that ministry. [..]
We each have to find a niche in life[…] we
must have close fellowship with Jesus […] “Do you love Me?” Then, “Feed My
sheep” (John 21:17). He is not offering us a choice of how we can serve Him; He
is asking for absolute loyalty to His commission, a faithfulness to what we
discern when we are in the closest possible fellowship with God. […] you must
be sensitive to what God has called you to do, and this may sometimes require
ignoring demands for service in other areas.” CHAMBERS
When Jesus was talking to Pilate in John 18, in verse 37, He said “the reason I was born and came into the world is
to testify to the truth.”
And as the Father sent the Son for this purpose, the Son sends us (John 20:21). Truth is absolute .. it never changes. I tell people, “Tell the truth and you never
have to remember what you said.” The
problem with the world … (Romans 1:25)
“They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created
things rather than the Creator” It is
easy to see that this is the truth .. watch television .. read the news … our
culture demands that you reject truth and accept the lies. That you conform. Did you know that you are transformed while under pressure from the culture and the lusts of your own old nature? Do you understand the importance of being
salt and light? Do you see the need for Christians to stand
for truth and to reject the pressure of their culture to conform … Here is more
truth ….. (Romans 12:2) “Do not conform
to the pattern of this world, but be
transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and
approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Fulfill the purpose for which you were
created … The world is in trouble … it needs a Savior … His name is Jesus.
Romans 10:13 -15 “
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then
shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they
believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a
preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How
beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad
tidings of good things!”
It is time you put on your “good news shoes” and turn that
light switch on bright! ELGIN
