‘Our Lord never insists on having authority over
us. He never says, “You will submit to me.” No, He leaves us perfectly free to
choose— so free, in fact, that we can spit in His face or we can put Him to
death, as others have done; and yet He will never say a word. But once His life
has been created in me through His redemption, I instantly recognize His right
to absolute authority over me.’ CHAMBERS
The Bible says that God the Father will but
everything under Jesus feet. (Eph 1:22-23) “And He (the Father) put all things under His
(Jesus) feet, and gave Him (Jesus) to be head over all things to the church, which
is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” Meaning that Jesus has
all authority over us. But when we become Christians and God seals us with His
Spirit … He doesn’t take away our free will … so we no longer have the choice
to sin … What do you prefer … that your child does the right thing or a good
thing because they choose to .. or because you made them ..
Don’t you have a sense of joy when you see your
children making the right decisions .. the right choices? It is not because it
is your way .. but because it is for their good. As God’s children the same
thing happens when we are obedient. When
we make the right choices .. those that are consistent with God’s word … It
brings joy to our Father’s heart.
