My Utmost For His Highest

Most of us need to be encouraged
to remain faithful in our walk with the Lord. We are like the little
child in the grocery store … wandering off time after time .. seeing things we
want to hold or have. I have seen some children on leashes .. which I
though a bit excessive on the parents part … but who knows what the child had
done in the past. (My imagination is running wild at this moment!) The danger
in reading something like Chambers is saying is that we think it is not us …
that we are OK.
We will struggle with our old
nature and with temptation so long as our feet are treading on this
earth. But … we don’t have to live as victims to our flesh or to the
wiles of the devil … God has made a way for us to overcome … John 16:33 “These things I [Jesus]
have spoken to you, that in Me you
may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I
have overcome the world."
