It's All About Jesus And All About Grace

“Come to Me…” —Matthew 11:28

“Never allow anything that divides or destroys the oneness of your life with Christ to remain in your life without facing it. Beware of allowing the influence of your friends or your circumstances to divide your life. This only serves to sap your strength and slow your spiritual growth. Beware of anything that can split your oneness with Him, causing you to see yourself as separate from Him. Nothing is as important as staying right spiritually. And the only solution is a very simple one— “Come to Me….” The intellectual, moral, and spiritual depth of our reality as a person is tested and measured by these words. Yet in every detail of our lives where we are found not to be real, we would rather dispute the findings than come to Jesus.” CHAMBERS

Over the years, a number of people have suggested that I write a book.  I have resisted that because, frankly, it is a lot of work and I am not certain that anyone, except for maybe my family would be interested in reading it.  What do you think?   Following that thought, we should never be more interested in reading books about the Bible than reading the Bible, itself.  There is nothing that can replace our personal interaction with the Lord.  When I preach in Haiti, I have to be careful about making references to reading the Bible to a people who mostly cannot read and who do not have access to Bibles.  In that case … they must hear the Word .. thus saith the Lord … it is their only option.  (Not a bad thing .. “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God” Romans 10:17)    But, for the people who are reading the words I am typing right now … we take so much for granted don’t we?  Many Christians have more than one Bible on a shelf somewhere … on their iPad, smart phone, and access on the computer … multiple translations … we are without excuse when it comes to being able to read the Bible .. it comes down to choice.  We must choose to pursue our relationship with the Lord.  When Jesus said “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest”  He was saying, I must choose Him.  I must seek Him out.  Is Jesus your passion or is something else?  Choose Jesus.  It’s all about Jesus and all about grace.  ELGIN

“Come To Jesus”  Chris Rice

“Weak and wounded sinner. Lost and left to die. O, raise your head, for Love is passing by
Come to Jesus. Come to Jesus. Come to Jesus and live!

Now your burden's lifted. And carried far away. And precious blood has washed away the stain...so
Sing to Jesus. Sing to Jesus. Sing to Jesus and live!

And like a newborn baby. Don't be afraid to crawl. And remember when you walk, sometimes we fall...so
Fall on Jesus. Fall on Jesus. Fall on Jesus and live!

Sometimes the way is lonely. And steep and filled with pain. So if your sky is dark and pours the rain...then
Cry to Jesus. Cry to Jesus. Cry to Jesus and live!

O, and when the love spills over. And music fills the night. And when you can't contain your joy inside...then
Dance for Jesus. Dance for Jesus. Dance for Jesus and live!

And with your final heartbeat. Kiss the world goodbye. Then go in peace, and laugh on glory's side...and
Fly to Jesus. Fly to Jesus. Fly to Jesus and live!”
