Will It Be Me, or Thee, Lord?

My Utmost For His Highest

‘We have a tendency to forget that a person is not only committed to Jesus Christ for salvation, but is also committed, responsible, and accountable to Jesus Christ’s view of God, the world, and of sin and the devil. This means that each person must recognize the responsibility to “be transformed by the renewing of [his] mind. . . .” (Romans 12:2).’ CHAMBERS

We must be careful that we don’t redefine what it means to be an obedient Christian.  What we will ultimately do is insert our own will in place of God’s will .. our own morality in place of God’s holiness.  We do that to accommodate our flesh and its desires.  Of course that is not the way we like to think about it. We have been set apart from the world .. John wrote that we are to no longer love the world or the things of this world. (1 John 2:15-17) Someone once said that “if Jesus is not Lord of all, He is not Lord at all.”
