That is what going to Haiti is really all about … it is not just building buildings .. but making Jesus known … it is simple … but it can be intimidating … think about it … sharing a message that has an eternal consequence … our role is twofold … tell them about Jesus and show them what a transformed life looks like by the way we live … God works through us by the power of His Spirit and in them by that same power. Why did God choose to do things this way? Because He did … "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says the LORD. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9
For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom; but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, 1 Corinthians 1:21-23
