‘The ascension is the complete fulfillment of the
transfiguration. Our Lord returned to His original glory, but not simply as the
Son of God— He returned to His father as the Son of Man as well. There is now freedom of access for anyone
straight to the very throne of God because of the ascension of the Son of Man. As
the Son of Man, Jesus Christ deliberately limited His omnipotence,
omnipresence, and omniscience. But now they are His in absolute, full power. As
the Son of Man, Jesus Christ now has all the power at the throne of God. From
His ascension forward He is the King of kings and Lord of lords.’ CHAMBERS
I was teaching Ephesians chapter 6 to our Haitian
staff yesterday.. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that our struggle is not against
flesh and blood … that our new nature is a spiritual one. But beyond the struggles, that with our new nature we have free access to
the throne of God in Jesus Christ. Do
you understand how significant that is?
You can enter into the presence of the creator God … and call Him Abba –
Father? How do you treat this amazing
faith and relationship? Should it not
completely change how we live in this world?
How we see other people .. adversity … Should it not make us consider .... How great is our God .. sing with
me .. How great is our God … and all will see .. how great .. how great .. is
our God.
