Perhaps
one of our greatest challenges in our new life is grasping the significant role
the Holy Spirit has in it. We focus on
the day of our salvation as an event – saved from hell. And don’t give much
thought about how we are going to live our new life. Or more correctly how it is even
possible. Read these verses and consider
your new life and how you should live because of them.
To be born again means to be born spiritually
“unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” – John 3:3-6
On the day of your rebirth, God sealed you with His Spirit. He claimed you as His own.

“having
believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee
of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the
praise of His glory.” – Ephesian 1:13-14
The Spirit dwells in our bodies. That means there is not a time when God is not with you – even when you sin in your heart
“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” – 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
All that said, it is possible for us to quench or inhibit the Spirit’s influence in our lives.
"Do not quench the Spirit.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:19
God’s will is that we would live our lives submitted to the leading of the Spirit. That requires intentionality – discipline.
“I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” – Galatians 5:16
What?
You say you already know all of this? My question to you is – are you embracing
it? The Spirit dwells in our bodies. That means there is not a time when God is not with you – even when you sin in your heart
