How You Can Bring Glory To The Father

…that you may know what is the hope of His calling… —Ephesians 1:18

{CHAMBERS} “You did not do anything to achieve your salvation, but you must do something to exhibit it. You must “work out your own salvation” which God has worked in you already (Philippians 2:12). Are your speech, your thinking, and your emotions evidence that you are working it “out”? […] First Peter 4:12  says, “Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you….” Rise to the occasion— do what the trial demands of you. […] May God not find complaints in us anymore, but spiritual vitality— a readiness to face anything He brings our way. The only proper goal of life is that we manifest the Son of God […] We are here to submit to His will so that He may work through us what He wants. Once we realize this, He will make us broken bread and poured-out wine with which to feed and nourish others.

{ELGIN}  Ephesians 2:8,9 says that we have been saved by grace through faith, it is a gift from God, not of [our own] works.  And with that gift comes responsibility.  God has a purpose for us.  Our primary purpose is to bring glory to God.  The primary method by which we bring glory to God is by reflecting His Son in our lives. Galatians 2:20 says that Christ is in us.  How, by the Spirit that God sealed us with at the point of our salvation. And how is Jesus reflected in our lives?  Galatians 2:20 says it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.  By the power of the Spirit, we are able to reflect Jesus to the world.  The fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) is the true reflection of Jesus the Son.  The only way that we can possible exhibit that fruit is by offering ourselves as living sacrifices and not be conformed to this world. (Romans 12:1-2) Living a life that glorifies God requires that we walk in obedience to the Father by the supernatural power that is ours by faith.  This is a deliberate act of faith.  It does not happen on its own. (Matthew 16:24) “If any man wants [bring glory to God the Father and be like Jesus] he must deny himself, pick up his cross daily and follow Jesus [do what Jesus did which was to do the Father’s will and not his own].
