What Are You Facing That Is Bigger Than Our God? Nothing!

It came to pass, while He blessed them, that He was parted from them and carried up into heaven. —Luke 24:51

{CHAMBERS} “The ascension is the complete fulfillment of the transfiguration. Our Lord returned to His original glory, but not simply as the Son of God— He returned to His father as the Son of Man as well. There is now freedom of access for anyone straight to the very throne of God because of the ascension of the Son of Man. As the Son of Man, Jesus Christ deliberately limited His omnipotence, omnipresence, and omniscience. But now they are His in absolute, full power. As the Son of Man, Jesus Christ now has all the power at the throne of God. From His ascension forward He is the King of kings and Lord of lords.”

{ELGIN}  As I consider the events of this life on earth, often times they take on a much larger appearance than they rightly deserve.  Oh that I could keep perspective on this life in the light of His glory and grace.  To understand that I am a child of the King and as such am no longer bound to the affairs of this world.  I have access into the very presence of Father God, the creator of the universe, through Jesus Christ.  I may have to deal with the mundane, it is real, but it is so puny in the face of eternity.  Since we are born again, we are eternally God’s own.  (Romans 8:31-35) “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

What is it that you are facing today?  You may be feeling the breath of the lion on your neck. You may be withering as you face the heat of the furnace.  Perhaps you are staring at the death of your mortal body in the face. Whatever it might be, “Our God is greater, our God is stronger God You are higher than any other, Our God is Healer, awesome in power, Our God, Our God, Into the darkness you shine, Out of the ashes we rise, There’s No one like you, None like you.” (Our God, Chris Tomlin).  (Proverbs 3:5,6) “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.”
