You Do Your Part and Jesus Will Do His

My Utmost For His Highest

‘Are you debating whether you should take a step of faith in Jesus, or whether you should wait until you can clearly see how to do what He has asked? Simply obey Him with unrestrained joy. When He tells you something and you begin to debate, it is because you have a misunderstanding of what honors Him and what doesn’t. Are you faithful to Jesus, or faithful to your ideas about Him? Are you faithful to what He says, or are you trying to compromise His words with thoughts that never came from Him? “Whatever He says to you, do it ” (John 2:5)’  CHAMBERS

John 2:5 was direction from Mary, the mother of Jesus, at the wedding where Jesus turned the water into wine.   What she said is echoed through the New Testament … “Do what Jesus says to do”  Living in obedience to the living Word is fundamental to living by faith.  What Jesus says to do requires faith.  They needed wine, He said go get water. They did and He did something supernatural.  They did their part and He did His part.  That is all God is asking us to do .. (Mark 9:7) “This is my Son, listen to Him.” Jesus will bring you to a point of decision .. “Do I obey him or do what makes sense to the world?” I say, let’s go and get some water …
