Ain't It Good To Know You Got A Friend

My Utmost For His Highest

‘The river of the Spirit of God overcomes all obstacles. Never focus your eyes on the obstacle or the difficulty. The obstacle will be a matter of total indifference to the river that will flow steadily through you if you will simply remember to stay focused on the Source. Never allow anything to come between you and Jesus Christ— not emotion nor experience— nothing must keep you from the one great sovereign Source.’ CHAMBERS

Not I but Christ … this life that we live by faith means that we “can” overcome  … if in Christ we have overcome sin and death … what can this world bring that we cannot endure?  There are circumstances that we bring upon ourselves because of sin and there are circumstances that come upon us because we live in a sinful and dysfunctional world.  Jesus overcame all of that … and we may be weak but He is strong … and He loves us … That does not mean that we will escape the consequences of what we do .. but Jesus can be our strength even as we endure whatever those consequences might be.

“When you're down and troubled and you need a helping hand  and nothing, nothing is going right.  Close your eyes and think of [Jesus] and soon [He] will be there to brighten up even your darkest nights. […] You just call out [His] name, and you know where [He is]  [He will] come running to see you again.  Winter, spring, summer, or fall, all you have to do is call and [He’ll] be there,  you've got a friend.” [In Jesus].
