Jesus Did Not Come To Save A Country. He Came To Save A Soul.

My Utmost For His Highest

…that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. —Luke 1:35

“God’s Son is born into me through the direct act of God; then I as His child must exercise the right of a child— the right of always being face to face with my Father through prayer. […] Am I simple enough to identify myself with my Lord in this way? […] Is God’s will being fulfilled in that His Son has been formed in me (see Galatians 4:19), or have I carefully pushed Him to one side? […] People today are crying out for the Son of God to be put to death. There is no room here for God’s Son right now— no room for quiet, holy fellowship and oneness with the Father.”  CHAMBERS

That is what our culture is crying out … “Crucify Him”.  I listened to the history of France’s falling away from God at church yesterday. About how their culture entered into an age of reason. It goes from “Thus sayeth the Lord” to “Did God really say” to “Is there really a God?” to “There is no God.”   I thought about this country.  We are on the same path.  Yet there are other places on this planet where people are hungry for the truth.  If the light of Christ continues to burn in this land it will be because the Church and the Saints who collectively make up the Church, draw close to God … we deepen our relationship with Him through the Word, Worship, and Prayer.

We are all living a part in an eternal play.  Each of us has their role to fulfill.  It is not the country that needs Jesus, it’s the people in the country that need Jesus.  Your life must be quietly shouting the Gospel out.  “There is a God in heaven and He loves you. There is an answer and His name is Jesus!”   He is the answer to what they are seeking and cannot find. Not all will receive the Truth, but we already know that don’t we.  Ok, the lights have dimmed and the curtain is going up … you’re on!  CHARLEY
